Kettlebells Training & Kettlebell Instruction
Kettlebell Benefits
Let’s keep this simple. There are literally hundreds of detailed journals on the Web by Physiologists and Kinesthetic Analysts describing the benefits of progressive overload with resistance training. But if you have ever trained with Kettlebells regularly you will not need to read these journals to know, that Kettlebells not only build muscle fast but develop and strengthen connective tissue making the body harder and more resilient to impact.
Kettlebells are the ultimate conditioning tool for extreme all round development. Why? This is due to its construction. The very positioning of the Kettlebell, behind the wrist, enables far greater increases in weight and therefore strength. With a traditional dumbbell there is a stabilization issue so weight increases are not nearly as evident.
The very thickness of a Kettlebell handle develops outstanding wrist and forearm strength, vital for lifting weights. A dumbbell literally cannot compete. Swinging the Kettlebell increases back resilience developing the posterior chain and maximizing one’s own anaerobic threshold.
Without moving the feet it is possible to feel the same breathlessness as a 100m sprint athlete!
Kettlebell Training for Women
Kettlebell conditioning is a compound exercise. This means that the whole body is used to move and lift the Kettlebell to its intended position. By executing the basic foundation exercise, the swing, the entire hip complex is utilized. What does this mean? Well, all muscle groups in the glutes, inner and outer thigh, abdominals and lower back are trained at once. Not to mention the triceps, forearms, biceps, chest mid and upper back, the list goes on.
‘Oh my life, my back side, inner thigh and triceps are killing me. If kettlebells can do this in one session I’m hooked for life’. - Lara Reynolds
Strengthening the hips through the swing will add power and stability to your training and carry over into your daily life. Also the massive demands on the cardiovascular system will melt fat fast, faster than any cross trainer, treadmill or aerobics class.
